Unraveling the GOP
As public response to this MetaFilter post seems to confirm, President Bush has fallen out of favor in the hearts and minds of most Americans. He has spent all that political capital he laid claim to after re-election.
Now, it seems the GOP is starting to unravel, as House Republicans steamrolled Bush on stem-cell research, the Senate defied the President on highway spending, and Andy Warren set an examply by leaving the Republican party.
With Representative John Conyers asking for answers on the Downing St. Memo, and Ralph Nader calling for impeachment based on that document, this may very possibly be the beginning of change in our country.
